On September 08 & 09th OVGS participated in this years Fibre Fest at the Mississippi Valley textile Museum in Almonte. We had 10 volunteers spread over two days in which large number of the public passed through our space in the old Mill office. The awful weather on the Sept 8th didn't seem to dampen the numbers or interest of the attendees or volunteers. If anything this was improved by the gorgeous day and even higher numbers of attendees on the 9th. Al the volunteers were enthusiastic and made a wonderful case for coming out to an OVGS meeting to see what we are all about. Our chief Mavens of hospitality were Liliana and Jane who ensured that everyone who walked through got suitably chatted up and engaged with what was on display. Without a doubt Jim's twin Nell Gwynn pictures were the big hit with the attendees who wanted to handler her and get to examine her up close and personal. Over the course of the two days we handed out nearly 300 of the beautiful cards that Elaine, Madelaine, Jane, & Mary Anne had prepared for us to advertise the guild.
A Very Big Thank You to Everyone Involved
