Summer Stitching Challenge 2018
Your challenge for the summer is to learn some new knot stitches and create something. It can be a sampler, or something you are working on and add some knot stitches to, or whatever else you would like to do. Bring your knotty stitching to the September meeting.

Congratulations on a Finish-7
Congratulations go to Tamara for being the first to finish the Ribbon Embroidery Class that is still ongoing this month. Tamara jumped ahead following Jayne's instructions to get her lovely embroidery to the finish line. Well done!
Stitch Days at Moncion's Independent
Our next stitch day at Moncion's Independent Grocer will be held on Saturday April 14th & Siunday the 15th - 2 days!! Think of it as a stitching retreat!

Congratulatuons to our uber finisher Jayne, who has completed the Many Fish in the Pond class from 2016. This was a class designed specifically for OVGS by Andrea. Wonderful job!

Today we are featuring the first of the EAC Seminar finishes to be showcased on our site. Congratulations to Mike on finishing Alison Cole's Elizabethan Ornament from Semimar 2016 in Toronto. This is goldwork project done on silk dupioni with a 3 dimensional finish to make a stunning heirloom ornament.
OVGS Tangles Workshop
Here is Andrea's photo of the results of the first half of the day creating tangle designs on paper as coached by Beth Abbott in our workshop. It was a fun design excursion for all of us. During the afternoon we expelored how to turn such designs in sttiches in a variety of techniques.

Not to be outdone however, is our very own OVGS Button Club which continues with enthusiac completions such as these from Jayne. The buttons on the top 2 rows were designed and taught by Mike and bottom row by Andrea.
