Our Member's Exihibition is open to the general public. Admission is free.

Saturday May 17th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
members wishing to drop off thier entries for exhibits may do so Wednesday May 14th between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
The Members’ Exhibition is a display of recent embroidery by EAC members. Each piece may be entered in a single category only. Past winners of any of the four awards described below may not submit an entry in the same category in the two years following their win. Youth embroiderers who enter embroideries will receive certificates for participation. A link to the Entry Form can be found at the bottom of this page.
All entries submitted for the Original Design Award and the Pulled Thread Award must be delivered by mail to the Seminar Committee by Friday, May 2, 2014.
Original Design Award (Professional and Non-Professional divisions)

Entries for the Seminar Theme Award and for the Viewers’ Choice Award may be delivered to the Seminar
Committee by mail, by courier, or in person. Ballots for these awards will be included in the registration package for Seminar participants.
Seminar Theme Award
This competition is for original designs based on the Seminar theme, “A Stitching Symphony.” Each entry must be accompanied by a one-page statement outlining the development of the design which will be displayed with the piece. Voting is open to EAC members only. EAC members not registered for Seminar may request ballots at the show on presentation of their membership cards. The “Seminar Theme” pin is awarded for this category.
Viewers’ Choice Award
The Viewers’ Choice Award is chosen by popular vote by EAC members and members of the public attending the Members’ Exhibition. Entries must be worked with a threaded needle, have been completed within three years of Seminar 2014 and not have been entered in any previous national EAC exhibition. An embroidery tool chosen by the EAC Board will be awarded to the winner in this category.
All EAC members and Seminar 2014 teachers wishing to display their embroidery are invited to submit entries.
Members who have completed EAC correspondence courses are invited to submit all material prepared in the course of their study for exhibition during Seminar 2014.
General guidelines for EAC Members' Exhibition
Entry Form deadline is Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Late registration will not be accepted. A colour photograph must accompany the Members’ Exhibition Entry Form, on which the title of the piece and the embroiderer’s name is clearly identified. The piece must be appropriately equipped for hanging or display. The Exhibition Committee is not able to supply display equipment. Marks identifying the stitcher will be covered until voting has been completed. It is recommended that embroideries with glass be hand-delivered. Pieces mailed must be received by Friday, May 2, 2014. Pieces delivered in person must be dropped off at the Seminar Registration Desk by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. A receipt will be issued for each entry. These receipts are required to claim pieces after the close of the Members’ Exhibition.
General Criteria for all Entries
Only EAC members are eligible to exhibit embroideries. It is not necessary to attend Seminar to be an exhibitor. Each entry must be worked with a threaded needle, have been completed in the last two years, and must not have been shown at a previous Seminar. The member entering the embroidery must have stitched the work entered in its entirety. Any member may display their work in the Exhibition Only category. Instructors teaching at Seminar 2014 are not permitted to enter the competitions for the Viewers’ Choice Award or the Seminar Theme Award but may enter the Exhibition Only category.
Official photographs will be taken of all entries for use by EAC and OVGS. Any other photography of exhibits is not permitted.
Shipped entries must arrive in a reusable box and include return postage, insurance, and a self-addressed return label. Please place your identification on all packing materials. You will be advised by e-mail (or include a self-addressed postcard) when your entry arrives. EAC and the Seminar Committee are not responsible for loss or damage.
