Welcome to Seminar 2014: A Stitching Symphony
The Embroiderers’ Association and The Ottawa Valley Guild of Stitchery are pleased to welcome you to Seminar 2014 - A Stitching Symphony to be held in the beautiful city of Ottawa from May 13th to 18th, 2014.
Ottawa offers a symphony of sights, sounds and activities from walks along the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to enjoying one of our many festivals. While in Ottawa, take in the sites of our Tulip festival or immerse yourself in Canadian history, culture and achievement at national museums and galleries. Fill yourself with pride as you tour the Capital's famous national sites and landmark attractions.
All great symphonies contain movement, tranquility, colour and formality and, like embroidery, they convey mood, emotion, light and shade. Seminar 2014 - A Stitching Symphony promises all that and more with an exciting array of instructors from Canada, the United States and United Kingdom who will be teaching a wide variety of techniques and designs. All levels of needleworkers will find something to challenge and inspire them. On the free day, we invite you to take one of our exciting classes or tours.
We hope that you will take some time to explore Ottawa, take some time to shop, enjoy some fine dining and above all enjoy our lovely city.
We look forward to seeing you in 2014.
