The 2023-2024 President's Challenge was to create a Mandala.  Diane's winning contemporary design used gold threads on black Aida. Her design incorporated goldwork, surface embroidery, applique, stumpwork, blackwork and beading.   She amalgamated Sarah Homfray's daisy motif (http://www.sarahhomfray.com), part of an outside floral band by Dee Southall (xxInfinityStitchesxx 2001), and some blackwork patterns from Clare Bradshaw (The Steady Thread, 2019).  The overall design and layout and choice of threads were her own.
